Colors
Keep text-to-background contrast ≥4.5:1 (normal) or 3:1 (large text). Use WebAIM Contrast Checker before changing any color.
Images
All content images need descriptive alt text. Decorative images use alt="".
Links & Buttons
Write descriptive text — avoid "click here". Use aria-label if visible text is ambiguous.
Headings
One H1 per page. Never skip levels. H2→H3→H4 in order.
Forms
Every input needs a visible label linked by for/id. aria-required="true" on required fields. Error messages via aria-describedby.
